Brief Description of Use

This is the file I make the state logo's with!

Beware of clicking this link!  It is almost 4Meg's of GIMP file.  It's similar to a Photoshpop file, but it's a GIMP file.  It's layered so that you need only change the layer with the state to yours and re-export the output as a JPEG.  You will need to download and install GIMP, but it is free; legally free by the GNU.  See the bottom of this long page for a GIMP download link.

I made the above projects available to the masses largely through Microshaft Word, but I really created them with the following Open Source GNU softwares'...
This deals with opening most Microshaft Office files like Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, but I used it's Draw module to do a great many things.  I did mechanical drawings, architectural drawings, created 3-D web buttons, sent vinyl cut paths to a sign company for complex decals on a PWC, and I drew nearly all the above artwork with it.
Want Adobe Photoshop but can't afford it???
Do like me and go GIMP for free!!!

Maybe goes without saying, but this is for programmers that hack code.
Donate to these developers as your guilt from future profits tells you to.

The following links are to quick slideshow tutorials that show you how to make your own graphic arts like I did.  Unleash your creative side!!!
Lesson 1: Converting typed text to scalable vector art, also known as “Clip-art.” Lesson 2: Comming soon... Lesson 3: Comming soon...

I was told this method of making weather resistant decals by John Messerly:
I had several failures, but Ink jet can be done.
  1. Use Photo cartridges if available. The dyes are more color fast.
  2. Print reverse onto ink jet transparency film
  3. Buy white kitchen shelving paper- the kind that says it is repositionable. Some is permanent. Nasty adhesive- dont use.
  4. Wear a face mask
  5. Spray contact cement (I use 3M Super 77 on film (ink side) and shelving paper
  6. It is important that there should be no ink near the edges of the sticker, and that the sheets be pressed firmly together (I use a rubber roller).
Cut them out- 60 cent Waterproof stickers.
Perhaps other visitors to your web page could profit from this info. BTW- I see you have added more graphics- thanks.
Obama store still hasnt sent me a message when it is shipping the thousands of stickers I ordered, and our caucuses are fast approaching- we have almost zero local visibility, but now I have a stopgap.
Trash bin ideas- any variations of paper labels I found to produce cockamamie results. Printing on computer magnet media then single sided clear laminate over top failed- the magnet stuff is too thin and curls at the edges after a few days. Besides, most bumpers these days arent steel. Kinkos: Most local printers wanted $14-$15 per square foot for vinyl printing, so $5 per sticker. I did find some online suppliers of vinyl paper, Id still have the running problem and would have to laminate a plastic sheet anyway.
Warm regards -John
So cool! The glue on the shelf paper holds the project on your car, and the 3M spray glue holds the transparency to the shelfpaper.
